4Backup Portal

You are able to navigate your 4Backup account online, you can do this from http://portal.ask4.com/4backup then click on the link at the bottom of the page that says “login to 4Backup portal” from here you will need to use “username@ask4.co.uk”  as your email address (replacing username with your ask4 username) and then your ask4 account password for your password

The main page of the 4Backup Portal shows you an account summary which gives details about the amount of files and folders that you have backed up, including the amount of data that you currently have backed up.

At the top right of the Portal, you are given a number of navigation buttons;

Home – this takes you back to the main 4Backup Portal page.

Backup – this page allows you to see what files you have backed up, any computers that you have added to your account will appear within this screen and you will be able to double click on each device which will then display the folders that are backed up from that particular machine, you can then go into each folder by double clicking it to see the files contained within that folder.

To go ‘back’ you are able to click on the ‘Up Level’ button, this will take you up one level within the directory that you are currently in.

To download a particular folder or file, you need to click on the down-arrow at the top right of the folder or file icon, and then select the download option. This will then bring up a download window within your web browser that will allow you to choose where you’d like the downloaded file/s to be saved to.
